I am a researcher and writer with an academic background. I received my PhD in sociology from Lancaster University in the UK. I am the recipient of Alexander von Humboldt, Gerda Henkel, and Einstein research fellowships, which have supported my academic career in Germany and France. My academic work draws on feminist theory, phenomenology, political ecology, and ethnographic research, and engages with questions of gender, justice, the body, and protest in the context of environmental struggles.

More recently, I have expanded my academic work to include writing books and essays on diverse cultural and political phenomena for international and German-language public platforms. The themes I currently focus on include motherhood, the body and care, identity, cultural visibility and recognition, and contemporary left politics.
